Synopsis

While accessing the academic resources of the dream university that once rejected her, a ghostwriter is stunned to discover that an outstanding paper shared by one of its students is actually her own work.
This film focuses on the global contract‑cheating industry in academia. It is adapted from a real‑world controversy: the daughter of South Korean senior official Han Dong‑hoon commissioned a Kenyan writer to ghostwrite her academic papers. Even after the scandal came to light, MIT upheld its admission offer to her.
All characters in the film are constructed from gold, silver and stone. The hierarchical value of these materials serves as a metaphor for real‑world racial and class stratification. Taking the ghostwriting industrial chain as its entry point, the work exposes underlying issues including class exploitation, unequal opportunities, racial discrimination and power dynamics. It reflects on human vice beneath polished appearances and draws connections between colonial histories and present‑day realiti
