Synopsis
NOMMORD is a gritty social drama that unmasks a centuries old, dark tradition hidden within tribal landscapes. When a violent feud between two powerful clans brings blood to the soil, a Jirgah (tribal council) is convened to settle the score through the ancient, harrowing trial of AAS-AAF, the test of fire or the test of Water.
The verdict is swift: the guilty party must pay the price of peace with a life. Having no daughter to give, the offender is forced into a haunting pact, the first daughter born to him will be surrendered to the rival chieftain upon reaching around fifteenth year. This is Nommord, a girl sold into a destiny before her breath.
Years later, the child of that debt has grown, and the time of reckoning has arrived. In a society where a woman’s voice is a sin, she chooses to fight back, defying a fate written in her blood. Standing between the weight of a sacred tribal decree and her own independence and protection. In that society, not everyone is evil. Take the girl’s father, for example: to the outside world, he appears to be a protector of the tribal council verdict and oppressing his daughter, but in reality, he is quietly working behind the scenes to save her.
