Synopsis
A cellphone is five percent raw material and physical labor; the other ninety-five percent is knowledge — the same logic now runs a small farm needing soil analysis and artificial insemination as much as it runs a boardroom. Access to that knowledge, not equal treatment, is the real fight: some students carry disabilities, illiterate parents, unsafe streets, and no wifi into the same classroom as everyone else, so equality just freezes the gap in place. When Pernambuco built full-time, comprehensive public schools — longer days built around life projects, not just longer lectures — the state jumped from twenty-first to first in Brazil's national education rankings within eight years. Artificial intelligence can grade a test or draft a report, but it cannot collaborate, dream, or want something for the future — those stay human jobs, and delegating them away is the shortcut that costs the most. Financial education starts failing the moment it's taught as math instead of what money actually means to a five-year-old's sense of power. None of this is a conversation for specialists. It has to be for everyone, or it doesn't happen at all.
