We accept submissions both through our own site and through FilmFreeway, and it's a fair question which one to use — the honest answer is that it makes no difference to how your film is judged. Every entry goes through the same eligibility check and the same section jury regardless of where it arrived from.

What differs is entirely on the filmmaker's side. FilmFreeway is useful if you're already submitting to several festivals at once and want one dashboard tracking deadlines and statuses across all of them. Submitting directly on our site is simpler if CKFF is the only festival you're entering this cycle, or if you want your submission tied straight to the profile and crew-credit system our site builds automatically for every film.

Either way, keep your submission materials — poster, trailer link, crew list — consistent across both if you ever use both, since a mismatched crew credit between platforms is one of the more common small headaches during the notification stage.
