The top prize of the Indigenous section

This prize recognises the strength of Indigenous voices in children’s storytelling: films made with, by and for Indigenous communities. The name is a working title while we agree on the final name together with community leaders.

How it is decided

Indigenous films are reviewed with guidance from Indigenous advisers. The Academy names the Top Nominees in each category, and the winner is chosen in the final round.
